ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Application Engineer you will guide customers to select the most effective process heating equipment for their process. You will work with engineers to design and size the equipment to meet the customers’ requirements. You will also be responsible for pricing models to ensure profitability and contributing to the success of our core product line. The position offers the opportunity to move into other technical engineering positions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review customer specifications.
• Apply customer specification to size and price process equipment
• Designing and sizing custom fired heaters.
• Sizing of piping, valves, ductwork, burners, blowers, pumps, etc.
• Understand and apply all applicable codes (ASME, API, NFPA, FM, IRI, CRN, etc).
• Develop budgets (materials, engineering hours, shop hours, etc).
• Create flow diagrams/P
• Create preliminary equipment layouts.
• Develop proposals
• Work with the sales engineer to provide technical assistance to customers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited four year university or two year technical associates degree in engineering.

• Engineering – This position primarily requires the ability to apply advanced scientific and engineering concepts such as heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics. This position also requires abilities in thermal, structural, and mechanical design and analysis.

• Computer - This position demands the use of advanced mechanical design and engineering software for timely and quality completion of engineering documents. Software requirements include but are not limited to: CAD (AutoCAD, Solidworks), technical calculation (MathCAD), process simulation (HYSYS), word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), e-mail (Microsoft Outlook).
